Although it is a country which will be remembered for many generations because of the sad war in the 20th century, and which killed more than a million people, Vietnam is a country with an ancient culture that like most of its immediate neighbours such as Cambodia and Laos, was dominated by France, when it was called French Indochina. Today, the country is quickly recovering from the terrible past, due in great measure to its openness to tourism, and its wonderful places like Halong Bay and the Mekong Delta. Cruising Halong Bay on board of a typical junk; visiting the two biggest cities of the country, Hanoi and Saigon, and compare the difference between the two cities and their citizens; visiting the most ancient ethnics of the north, in the region of Sapa… are some of the must do on a trip to Vietnam.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
