Experiences are a fundamental part of our Vietnam travel programmes. Beyond simply discovering the destination, visiting the main sights and taking photos of famous landmarks, our aim is for travellers to truly experience the country.

To achieve this, we carefully select unique locations and meaningful moments that make each journey memorable: meeting a local family and learning about their history, discovering how Vietnam’s traditional conical hats are handcrafted, or simply enjoying a conversation with our guide about Vietnamese traditions, culture and cuisine.

In Hanoi, travellers can enjoy lunch in a local family home. We usually combine this experience with a visit to the Military History Museum, as the house itself reflects the lifestyle of the military generals who lived there during the Ly and Tran dynasties.

It is a wonderful opportunity to experience Vietnam’s history first-hand, as every object in the house tells a story of honour and duty. In addition to enjoying a traditional home-cooked meal, travellers can also take part in its preparation, joining the hosts in the kitchen to discover local ingredients and cooking techniques.

Buddhism is one of the cornerstones of Vietnamese culture. For travellers wishing to learn more about its traditions, we recommend visiting a very special pagoda. Surrounded by peaceful countryside on the outskirts of Hanoi, guests are welcomed by the resident monks, who introduce them to Buddhist practices, rituals and moments of meditation and reflection.
